Police Chaplains play a critical role in modern public safety by addressing the human side of policing. At Harvest Christian University, Police Chaplain–led initiatives are designed to enhance officer wellness, strengthen community trust, support families, and stabilize communities during times of crisis.
These programs are non-denominational, trauma-informed, and publicly fundable, aligning with public safety objectives, community policing strategies, and behavioral health priorities. By integrating emotional support, ethical leadership, crisis response, and community engagement, Police Chaplains serve as a force multiplier for law enforcement agencies and municipalities.

To reduce repeat incidents, repair community harm, and strengthen long-term public safety through restorative practices facilitated by Police Chaplains.
This program uses restorative justice models to bring together impacted community members, victims, officers (when appropriate), and trained facilitators to address harm, rebuild trust, and promote accountability without escalation. Police Chaplains serve as neutral, trained facilitators focused on healing, dialogue, and resolution.
Services include restorative circles, post-incident mediation support, community healing forums, and follow-up care for affected individuals and neighborhoods. The program emphasizes conflict resolution, reconciliation, and prevention, not punishment.
